Cookie policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

This page explains which cookies and similar technologies Atalaya Hotel Journal (jerunex.com) may use, what each one is for, and how to say yes or no. It is provided under article 22.2 of Spain's Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and follows the Spanish data protection authority's guide on the use of cookies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, keep information on your device in much the same way. Some are set by the site you visit (first-party); others by another company whose service the site uses (third-party).

2. The categories we use

Strictly necessary, including local storage

These make features you ask for work, and record your cookie decision. Atalaya keeps them in your browser's local storage, not in cookies, and never sends them to us. Because they are needed to provide the service you request, they don't require consent.

Analytics (only with consent)

Google Analytics helps us understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. It is switched off until you accept analytics.

Advertising (only with consent)

Google Ads and Google's advertising services (formerly DoubleClick) measure whether people reached us through our own ads and may be used to show and personalize ads. They are switched off until you accept advertising.

We use Google Consent Mode: Google's tags start in a "denied" state and only store cookies for a category once you allow it.

4. Changing your choice

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. You can reopen the panel and change or withdraw your consent at any time with Cookie settings, which also sits in the footer of every page.

5. Browser controls

You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser. Help pages for the main browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Clearing local storage will also empty your shortlist and passport.
